Hello Educators!

Every DIVA has an entourage, and at Divabetic®, educators are the first in line personal assistants and back-up talent for the millions of women affected by diabetes that we work to reach.

What started as a tribute to lost great R&B legend, Luther Vandross, and a t-shirt selling operation has exploded into a new era of diabetes education which brings a new voice to diabetes educators. At Divabetic® events, education takes the spotlight right along-side our DIVAS. Educators are encouraged to inspire, motivate, share personal experiences, and go glam, as well as provide diabetes education with dazzle!

Last year, Divabetic® gained national attention due to the success of Divabetic® - Makeover Your Diabetes^TM, our outreach program presented in eight major US cities through sponsorship from Novo Nordisk. We had the opportunity to work with teams of local certified diabetes educators in each city and to reach thousands of women affected by diabetes across the country. The popularity and demand for this program has helped us to refine our mission and expand our outreach. Now, we clearly see our charge is to inspire and enliven interest in women at risk of and affected by diabetes as well as the community of healthcare providers who work tirelessly to help them.

Thanks, in part, to Divabetic® - Makeover Your Diabetes^TM, which we continue to present across the country this year, interest in our diva style approach to diabetes self-management education continues to grow. In order to respond to this interest and enthusiasm, we're looking to bring together a national network of Certified Divabetic® Educators to spread the inspiring message of confidence and community among women affected by diabetes everywhere!

I hope you’ll join us in helping women affected by diabetes to take control of their health and live their best diabetes life. Provide the spark they need to stay motivated. I think you’ll find a passion ignited within yourself to do better and be better too.
