FUNDRAISING

The sale of DIVABETIC merchandise is a fundraising effort to supply insulin pumps and other glucose testing supplies to qualified diabetics who are unable to acquire them without additional aid. Pumps and supplies can cost upwards of $6,000 and the work of the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association of North Carolina has provided these materials for those in need. A percentage of the sale of DIVABETIC merchandise goes to continually funding of this effort. DIVABETIC wishes to help affirm the power of proper blood sugar control among diabetics, people at risk for diabetes, and their families. Promotion is a crucial first step for those already encumbered with the disease and toward lowering it's impact. DIVABETIC hopes to raise public awareness of this disease not only to the community at large, but particularly within urban communities.
