DIVABETIC’s 4 Star events promote diabetes awareness, early detection, prevention, support and healthy living choices through music, fitness. inspirational and fashion style events. Our hope in providing this innovative diabetes programming is to encourage, the general public to seek out more information affecting the care and cure for diabetes.
DIVABETIC MAKEOVER YOUR DIABETES:
An evening of free mini-massages and complimentary salon-style services (hairstyles, makeovers) and motivational speakers to make diabetes outreach more appealing and accessible to women. Teams of beauty and fashion experts and diabetes educators and nutritionists work together to help beauties of All TYPES” modify their behaviors to improve their methods of care and quality of life. Women are encouraged to meet peers, talk to experts and listen to motivational speakers in a ‘LIPSTICK & LAUGHTER’ presentation.

ALL-STAR TRAINING DAY:
Fast effective diabetes coaching for families affected by diabetes on daily care and management in a sports-friendly atmosphere. Different forms of insulin delivery, nutritional advice and solutions to dealing with high's and low's help participants cover all the bases, featuring: hands-on demonstrations, one-on-one consultations, panel discussions and raffle prizes.
HAT BOXING COMPETITIONS:
High-spirited hatbox decorating contests to knock-out diabetes in faith-based communities. This inspirational diabetes outreach combines the popularity of church hats in all their finery with the church community’s creativity and know how-to get across our ‘denial’s not my style’ message; the competition’s focus is to design and decorate hat boxes provided by DIVABETIC as a way to allow an easy informal/conversational diabetes education platform for the church community.
BEE A DIVA DIABETES COACHING & SUPPORT SESSIONS:
Monthly motivational group meetings for women living with TYPE 1 or TYPE 2 diabetes, at risk of or caring for someone affected by diabetes. "Bee A DIVA" brings ALL TYPES of women together to talk about their experiences living with or affected by diabetes in an upbeat, friendly atmosphere. Certified life coaches and diabetes educators help participants develop game plans and find encouragement and/or the motivation to improve their care and work together to stop bad behaviors, change cultural influences and prevent diabetes related complications from occurring. Guest floral designers, knitting instructors, yoga teachers, tea vendors and other ‘diva’ presenters are invited to teach participants new skills and interests in order to encourage more candid conversations about living with diabetes.

DIVABETIC’s ‘Threads On Treads’ Fashion Show and ‘PUMPS 4 PUMPS’ Shoe Sale
Our fashion friendly event features some of the hottest designers' stunning runway looks and shoe designs on treadmills to encourage 30 minutes of daily exercise to lower your blood sugar. Huge outdoor designer shoe and footwear sale in tents raises money to provide FREE Insulin Pumps for diabetics in need through the DIVABETIC foundation and the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association.

DIVABETIC’s Annual Hat Boxing Championships:
Our inspirational diabetes outreach project combines the popularity of church hats in all their finery with the church community’s creativity and know how-to get across our ‘denial’s not my style’ message; the championships focus is to design and decorate hat boxes provided by DIVABETIC as a way to allow an easy informal/conversational diabetes education platform for the church community.
Heavy Weight, Middle Weight and Feather Weight divisional trophies and cash prizes, DIVABETIC and SUGAR SAVVY merchandise, gospel CD’s and gospel concert tickets along with Harlem Heaven’s owner/designer Evetta Petty's popular one of kind hat creations.
Preliminary Round Hat Boxing Competitions hosted by Tri-State Area First Ladies Of The Church promote early detection, prevention and diabetes related discussions in an afternoon tea-style atmosphere.

DIVABETIC & The Diabetes Center of NJ’s (DCNJ) SUGAR SAVVY Middle School Screening Kick-Off Party:
This year’s kick off party for DCNJ’s innovative Middle School Screening Program promotes early detection and prevention and encourages an ‘outdoor’ versus ‘online?’ attitude to spike interest in physical activity among children. Special guest DJ's and fitness instructors interpret popular video games moves into real life exercise programs. SUPER HERO characters and special guest celebrities giveaway FREE SUGAR SAVVY merchandise and prizes all day long.

Our signature fundraising event features nonstop music from the hottest DIVAS & DJ’s performing live, a beauty and fitness makeover bar, and a 'personal size' health fair to maximize education and minimize anxiety. It's one-stop shopping for everything related to diabetes and healthy living. Special guest celebrity judges, choreographers and fitness instructors offer motivation and encouragement. Special DIVABETIC and SUGAR SAVVY merchandise and prizes awarded throughout the night for varied dance contests.
