Estabon Bennermon, aka Esty, made a big splash in the music industry with his first single, SEXY GIRL, which became an instant download classic also garnered heavy rotation on 96.1, Poughkeepsie, New York. Esty is currently performing at various tri-state area locations –– Manhattan, NY, Hartford, CT and Boston, Mass and of course his home city of Poughkeepsie. after the release of his debut album, 'Optimistic,' Fall '06. In the Poughkeepsie Journal, his performance was comapared to a young El Debarge, Lenny Kravitz or Maxwell! A self-described romantic, Esty's sound is a combination of slow grooves, heavy beats and 'heart of the matter' lyrics. Musical inspirations include Usher and Michael Jackson. Esty who was born in Vermont and raised in Poughkeepsie, recalls that his first taste of stardom was singing and winning local talent contests at Spackenkill High School.
